Keeping
the Outing in Scouting
Troop 33
has a long history. First started in 1925, the Troop was closed and restarted several
times before
a
dedicated group of Scouters rechartered the Troop in 1999. Chartered under the American
Legion Charles
Nelson
Lobb Post 502 in Pen Argyl. Troop 33 meets at Scout Hall inside
7:00pm. We
would like to thank Post 502 and
Troop 33
is what is known as a Boy Run Troop. The Scouts plan and carryout their
agenda. Our dedicated
leadership
oversees the safety and logistics of their events. The troop motto Keeping the
Outing in Scouting
is
reinforced by camping year around. Giving the Scouts 12 months of fun and learning
opportunities.
Presently
Troop 33 has (25) registered youths and (9) trained Assistant Scoutmasters. Troop officers
are
as
follows; Mara Kessler (Committee Chair), Chris Witmer (Scoutmaster), Patty Policelli
(Treasurer),
Sandy
Gentile (Advancement Chair), Linda Witmer (Secretary), Eileen Leicht (Chaplain).
The youth
positions are as follows; Austin Witmer is Senior Patrol Leader (S.P.L.), Anthony Gentile
is his
Assistant
Senior Patrol Leader (A.S.P.L.), Nick Policelli (Scribe), Austin Witmer (Historian), Cody
Mikol (Quartermaster), Patrick Leicht (Chaplains Aid). Many other positions exist within
the three patrols we are
presently
working under.
Troop 33
is always looking to help prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over
their
lifetimes
by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. Scouting is a game with a
purpose.
Fun is the
game. Values are the Purpose. Learning is the Process. Come enjoy the Game and help us
Keep
the Outing
in Scouting.
